Code of Conduct for Ask an Architect
1. Introduction
This program aims to create a vibrant, supportive environment where participants can network, share experiences, and foster meaningful relationships. We are committed to inclusivity and respect, ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, feels valued and safe. By participating, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct, which outlines our shared standards for behavior.
2. Our Standards
To maintain a positive and productive environment, we expect all participants to exhibit the following behaviors:
Respect: Treat every participant with respect, dignity, and empathy. Listen actively, communicate thoughtfully, and avoid interrupting others.
Inclusivity: Actively acknowledge and respect the diversity of our community. Embrace different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences to enrich the experience.
Collaboration: Share your knowledge generously and assist others whenever possible. Foster a collaborative atmosphere where learning and mutual support are prioritised.
Constructive Communication: Engage in constructive, positive communication. Provide and accept constructive criticism graciously, aiming to help others grow and improve.
Professionalism: Maintain a high standard of professionalism in all interactions. Avoid any behavior or language that may be considered inappropriate, offensive, or unprofessional.
3. Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are considered harassment and are strictly prohibited within our community:
Violence and Threats: Any form of violence, threats of violence, or violent language directed at another participant or group.
Discriminatory Language: Use of sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory language, including jokes or slurs.
Personal Insults: Any personal insults, particularly those related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability.
Inappropriate Content: Sharing or engaging in inappropriate photography, recording, or other content that is not suitable for a professional setting.
Encouraging Harmful Behavior: Advocating for, encouraging, or condoning any of the above behaviors.
4. Enforcement
Community leaders are responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards of acceptable behavior. They will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any behavior deemed inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful. If you encounter or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it immediately via info.architecther@gmail.com. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and confidentially.
5. Consequences
Participants found to be in violation of this Code of Conduct may face consequences, including but not limited to:
Warning: A formal warning regarding the unacceptable behavior.
Suspension: Temporary suspension from participating in the program, pending further review.
Expulsion: Permanent removal from the program and future events, depending on the severity of the violation.

We are committed to continuously improving our policies. Participants are encouraged to provide feedback on the this Code of Conduct. Your input helps us create a more effective and welcoming environment for all.
